Remain Returns as Presenting Sponsor at 2025 Nantucket Film Festival

NANTUCKET, MA — Remain will once again serve as the presenting sponsor of the Nantucket Film Festival’s Green Carpet Cinema, marking its fourth consecutive year of support. Established in 2022, the Green Carpet Cinema spotlights films that aim to deepen understanding of humanity’s connection to the planet.

This year’s featured screening is JAWS @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story, a new National Geographic documentary revisiting the cultural legacy and environmental impact of Jaws on its 50th anniversary. Following the screening, audiences are invited to the Deep Dive Panel, which will explore the film’s influence on public perception of sharks.

Other featured titles in this year’s Green Carpet Cinema include Middletown, Last Days on Lake Trinity, Snow Bear, Seaweed Stories and Future Feeling—a locally produced short film funded by Remain that will also be included in the festival’s “Shorts” programming. Each film offers a distinct perspective on the relationship between people and the planet.

“Remain is proud to support storytelling that sparks environmental awareness and community conversation,” said Cecil Barron Jensen, executive director of Remain. “The Green Carpet Cinema invites audiences to engage with the environmental issues that shape both the world and our island. Supporting these stories is core to our mission and to building a more informed, inspired and resilient community.”
