Remain Ventures invests in buildings and mission-related businesses that strengthen Nantucket’s year-round economy and spark innovation that brings long-term value to the island’s residents. Remain’s buildings not only reflect a commitment to the wise use of energy and natural resources, they also serve as gathering places and critical cornerstones of the community. Remain Ventures investments are funded privately by Eric and Wendy Schmidt.

22 Federal Street – The Corner Table and Nantucket Culinary Center

Remain Ventures completed a major renovation of the historic building on the corner of Federal and Broad Streets in 2016. The Corner Table and Nantucket Culinary Center have been a beloved home-away-from-home for residents and visitors ever since.

Remain Ventures has strategically partnered with the Nantucket Chamber of Commerce to encourage and strengthen a robust local economy. The shared initiatives have been diverse and community oriented. Two of the most meaningful and broad-ranging partnerships are the Nantucket Island Center for Entrepreneurs and the Rock Solid Grants.

Rock Solid Grants

Launched in 2020, the Rock Solid Grants are administered by the Nantucket Chamber of Commerce and supported by Remain Ventures. The grants provide funds to Nantucket-based small businesses to ensure their continued contribution toward a strong local economy.
