Ralitsa Mitrakieva

Ralitsa was living in Chicago when she first visited Nantucket in 2010. After moving on and off a few times, the island called her home and in 2016, she became a full-time resident. After growing up in Bulgaria, she served as the island’s Bulgarian Education Center principal from 2017 to 2020 and as a real estate paralegal for Cohen and Cohen Law PC for six years. Ralitsa joined the Remain Ventures team as a project coordinator in 2023.
At the Bulgarian Education Center, Ralitsa taught young children to speak, read and write Bulgarian, while she assisted in executing real estate transactions at the law firm. Currently, she is responsible for keeping track of budgets, coordinating the execution of legal contracts and leases, as well assisting the facilitation of grants for Remain. Ralitsa earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education with a minor in English language in Bulgaria and she received her bachelor’s degree in economics from University of Massachusetts Boston.
