NANTUCKET, Mass. March 30, 2020 —ReMain Nantucket and Community Foundation for Nantucket
announced today ReMain Nantucket’s dollar-for-dollar matching donation of up to $250,000 to support
the Community Foundation for Nantucket’s Emergency Relief Fund, which will provide grants to local
non-profit organizations that have been impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.

In addition, the Community Foundation for Nantucket’s ReMain Nantucket Fund has reopened its
application period. All nonprofits that have current applications for support pending from the
Community Foundation for Nantucket’s ReMain Fund will be able to adjust their applications in light of
the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and any cancelations, postponements, and shifts in priority due to
the quarantine. Nonprofits that previously had not applied for support this year may now also submit an
application. The deadline to submit a grant application is April 16, 2020.

“There will be numerous challenges, including short-term and long-term economic repercussions, that
stem from the quarantine.” said ReMain Nantucket Executive Director Cecil Barron Jensen. ”ReMain
recognizes that its mission to support and strengthen the lasting economic, social, and environmental
vitality of downtown Nantucket is critical and support for the non-profit community is especially needed
now.”

“We truly hope that by supporting the Emergency Relief Fund and reopening the ReMain Nantucket
Fund, we are offering avenues for Nantucket’s nonprofits to continue their important work on behalf of
our community. We are all in this together,” said Jensen.
